I’m emailing you with great thanks, you guys supplied first aid training to myself and my work colleagues on Friday last week and firstly it was a great course. But more importantly it was a genuine lifesaver exactly 24 hours later I was shopping in my local Asda and as I was leaving an elderly gentleman was going to cardiac arrest, and thanks yo your course I was trained enough to perform efficient CPR and use the defibrillator within 40 seconds of him collapsing, with the help of an Asda employee and an off duty police officer doing rescue breaths and clearing his airways. The ambulance arrived within six minutes, and they told us we were able to get his heart going again and get him breathing. I have since been in touch with the family saying that he is off ventilation and breathing on his own again. I don’t like to think of myself as a lifesaver but without the training that you guys supplied for me personally he might have actually died so I wanted to extend the most amount of gratitude not just from me but from the Family of the gentleman.
