First Aid at Work is a 3 day course delivered over a minimum of 18 hours,
In 2019 it was estimated that employers paid out $1 billion a week in work related injury costs.
The health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive  immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. When deciding what level of first aid provision is needed for your company it is important to do a risk and needs assessment.
This would include looking at how many people are employed by the company, how many visitors there are, how many first aid kits are needed and so on.
However, having the current first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement,  it is incredibly important for the safety of all members of staff and members of the public!
This Level 3 (QA RQF) qualification is specifically designed for those individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. The course will allow successful candidates to learn how to manage emergency situations as well as injuries and illnesses that might occur in the work place.
