With 5 -8% of children in the UK living with severe food allergies anaphylaxis it is vital for school staff and hospitality staff to understand their role in managing the condition as well as how to recognise it and minimise risk.

Natasha's Law came into force in October 2021 to improve food labelling after the death of Natasha in 2016 from eating a sesame seed which she was allergic to.

    This anaphylaxis training is an ideal bit of CPD for your staff either as part of their inset or as a stand alone piece of training after school.

  • What will be covered?

    This training can be delivered during the working day, as part of a first aid course, or as some additional CPD after work or school.

    The training will look at the following areas:

    • Safe storage of medication and school trips.
    • Care plans if appropriate
    • The triggers of anaphylaxis
    • How to recognise anaphylaxis - signs and symptoms.
    • How to manage a severe allergic reaction, including practical demonstrations with adrenaline auto injectors.
