
Blended Paediatric First Aid Course
A few years ago, the HSE started to accept blended learning for first aid. Â This enables you to do some online learning before attending the face-to-face part of the course
Intended Audience
This blended Paediatric first aid course is for anyone who works with children, including childminders, nannies, and other childcare workers. Â Anyone studying for a childcare qualification must have first aid training.
Course Content
This course consists of 6 hours online, which will be completed before the face-to-face element is delivered. It meets all the requirements outlined in the EYFS framework.
Course content includes:
- The role of the first aider
- How to prioritise in an emergency
- Contents of a first aid kit
- Documentation
- Primary Survey
- CPR
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Minor Illnesses
- Burns
- Poisoning
Day 2Â is delivered face-to-face with the opportunity to practice the skills required to save lives
The course is certified for 3 years
Assessment
There will be ongoing assessments throughout the course, including written and practical tests.
Course Cost
This course can be delivered on-site at a date of your preference or a local venue as an open course. Â Open courses tend to be held in the Bexley area.
