As a parent of carer it’s a great idea to have some first aid training to help with different ailments and accidents that children have. First aid is also something that is important for children to learn too.
With more and more young carers taking on greater responsibility, it’s essential that they can recognise situations that require first aid intervention. Equipping young carers with these life skills will help them feel more confident in their day to day lives.
Some of the skills are simple and effective and have a ripple effect. Learning valuable life saving skills as a child promotes confidence and better communication skills as they grow.
Flat Stan brings fun First Aid Courses for children in Bexley and South East London. We are delighted to be part of this initiative where we teach children in a relaxed and fun way.
It’s important for the children to feel confident that they have the knowledge and ability to act in an emergency. This will also help them grow into confident adults who can help save lives throughout their own lives.
Safety First Welling are running Flat Stan first aid workshops aimed at 4-10 year olds in South East London.
The great thing about Flat Stan first aid courses is that they can be delivered in a child care environment. So can be held in schools or after school clubs as part of a wider health week at schools.
We currently offer two ways for children to learn the Flat Stan method, with courses running in school holidays. See our events page on Facebook for current courses and how to book on them.
The other option is to book a Flat Stan first aid party. A great way for friends or family members to learn these life saving skills together in a safe environment. This fun and interactive two hour course is a good starting point.
